The radio industry is chatting over an appearance Thursday at The Conclave in Minneapolis by former Cumulus Media CEO Lew Dickey Jr.
As reported by Streamline Publishing'sRadio Ink,Lew Dickey admitted that forcing down rules from the Cumulus C-Suite was a mistake.
According to company officials, the sausages from Dickey's Barbecue Pit are high-quality, competitively priced and easy to prepare at home.
"We are pleased to launch one of our signature barbecue products in Walmart stores across the country," says Tamala Fowler, vice president of R&D and purchasing at Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, based in Dallas.
GMW Carolina, Inc, is also Area Developer for North Carolina, working with Dickey's Barbecue parent company to bring as many Dickey's to North Carolina as it will hold.
The first Dickey's Barbecue opened in 1941 in Dallas, TX.
Dickey is back and as dicey as ever in his eighth book.
Dickey is hands-down one of the best contemporary storytellers on the scene.
Dickey has been ill served, even betrayed, by his son, by his literary executor, and by his biographer, who show little understanding of his genius or the reasons for his agonizing suffering and sharp decline.
I first met Dickey in 1981 and corresponded with him for ten years.
With the death of James Dickey we have LOST an entertaining and uncommonly powerful voice for poetry as well as the author of at least a dozen or more of the most dramatically lyric American poems written since World War II.
In addition to a short list of superb poems, Dickey has written a hugely successful cult novel, Deliverance, and two highly experimental, less auspicious novels, Alnilam and To the White Sea.
