differential spoilers
Port spoiler is deflected by a higher angle than the star-board spoiler. Greater amount of lift is ‘spoilt' on the port wing than the star-board wing. The aircraft thus rolls to the left.
Spoilers fitted on wings that act as primary or secondary roll control. The rolling force is provided by the differential amount of lift created by the differentially deployed spoilers.
