Directional Signal

 

a device in motor vehicles for signaling that a turn is imminent. A directional signal usually consists of front and rear flashing orange signal lights controlled by an interrupter, for example, a thermal or electrical relay; a manually activated automatic switch; and a monitor light on the dashboard.
