double-sideband reduced-carrier modulation[‚dəb·əl ¦sīd‚band ri‚düst ¦kar·ē·ər ‚mä·jə‚lā·shən]
A form of amplitude modulation in which both the upper and lower sidebands are transmitted but the power contained in the unmodulated carrier is reduced to a fixed level below that provided to the modulator. Abbreviated DSB-RC modulation.
