empathic design

Creating a product by having empathy for the ultimate users. Also called "empathetic design," empathic design implies that the developer or designer has observed people using the existing product or one that is in its first test stages and has a greater understanding of the interaction that takes place. See artificial empathy, user experience and user interface.
