Before computing the composite noise parameters, the device noise parameters, which are input in Super Compact compatible form ([F.sub.min], [R.sub.n], and [[GAMMA].sub.opt]), are converted to a suitable noise model described by [R.sub.n] the equivalent noise resistance, [G.sub.n] the equivalent noise conductance, and [Y.sub.cor] the correlation admittance.[4] Before making this transformation, [Y.sub.opt] is calculated from [[GAMMA].sub.opt], and [R.sub.n] is unnormalized.
