exmeridian altitude
[eks·mə′rid·ē·ən ′al·tə‚tüd] (astronomy)
An altitude of a celestial body near the celestial meridian of the observer to which a correction is to be applied to determine the meridian altitude. Also known as circummeridian altitude.
