exploded view

A drawing or picture of any article or piece of equipment in which the component parts are separated but so arranged to show their relationship to the whole.

exploded view

A drawing that shows the individual parts of a structure or construction separately, but indicates their proper relationship to each other and to the whole.

exploded view

exploded view

An illustration in which all the elements of an assembly are slightly separated from each other, enabling each element to be viewed independently. Pie charts are a type of business graphic that is also shown in an exploded view, where all pieces of the pie are separated from each other.
