This cluster is followed by two clusters of the Feterita landraces that were collected from El Gadarif state, covering the landraces from Feterita Eriana to Gadamballia, and from Feterita Rass Girid (Kassab) to 'Wad Ahmed'.
The second analysis is based on the morphological groups, and DI estimates were as follows: 0.65 within Feterita, 0.71 within Milo, 0.63 within the Synthetics, 0.68 within Hegiri, and 0.47 within the Mugud group (Table 4).
In part it also holds true for the Feterita group where 83% of the genotypes clustered together.
Overall, the most homogeneous group is Kafir (average GS of 0.82), and this group, on average, is more closely related to Kafir-Milo (average GS of 0.61) than to Zeta-zeta, Feterita, or Durra (average GS of 0.51 to 0.54).
Sorghum working groups represented in this study included Kafir, Feterita, Zera-zera, Kafir-Milo, Durra, Caudatum, Margaritiferum, and Guinea, and lines developed from inter-group crosses, like Zera-zera x Kafir.
