A benign tumor, usually of smooth muscle, with a prominent fibrous stroma; commonly a uterine leiomyoma.

Fibromyoma

 

a benign tumor of muscle tissue with involvement of connective tissue. The most common form, fibromyoma of the uterus (uterine leiomyoma), may be accompanied by hemorrhages, anemia, and irregularity in the menstrual cycle. It requires regular medical observation and is treated surgically.
