flame rate

flame rate

The rate of burning of a mixture or the time it takes the flame to complete the combustion of the mixture inside the cylinder of a piston engine. The flame rate depends on the mixture strength—the richer the mixture, the faster it burns.

Energy efficiency is worse as the flame rate increases without a corresponding increase in melt rate.
Regarding light diesel-air flame, rate of formation of C[O.sub.2] increases continuously in the postflame zone, but for kerosene-air flame rate of formation of C[O.sub.2] decreases to lowvalue where all fuel is consumed in the main reaction zone and equilibrium occurred early.
TIMS captures both static images and streaming video at 30 frames/sec., 15 frames/sec., or at virtually any flame rate desired, and can convert JPG, BMP and AVI images generated in pathology, dermatology and ophthalmology applications.
At a 10-Hz flame rate, an autonomous robot would have adequate time to avoid the obstacle even with this uncertainty.
Camera bandwidth requirements can vary by compression type, flame rate, the amount of motion in the scene and resolution.
The presentation channel has flexible resolution, flame rates and bit rates, and it supports dynamic images in high definition (HD).
DRS Technologies' cameras use lenses from Nikon, Tokyo, Japan, and have a high-speed imaging system based on a new approach to intensified CCD technology that allows the user to capture images at flame rates of up to 100 million frames/sec.
New from Cognex Corporation is the CDC-200, a member of the digital CMOS-based CDC camera series, which extends the range of vision applications with faster flame rates and the addition of global shuttering capabilities.
For example, the CDC-200 can deliver high-resolution SXGA images (1280 x 1024) at up to 26 fps, a standard VGA image (640 x 480) at frame rates up to 100 fps, or a 320 x 240 image at flame rates up to 340 fps.
