floppy duplicator

A device that made copies of floppy disks and formatted the media at the same time. Simple units contained two drives and required manual loading. Automated units had hoppers and stackers that could copy 50 or more diskettes without operator intervention. The most comprehensive machines also attached the diskette labels. See floppy disk.
