If there is a single in-service transformer in the power system, only an AC component will be included in the transformer

flux linkage. [[psi].sub.1DC] is generated due to the other energized transformer.

The

flux linkage ([psi]) in the flux current method of rotor position is estimation is calculated from the understanding of voltage (v) and phase current (i) of an energized phase of the SRM using the following relationship (1).

These states include current,

flux linkage, and rotor speed.

Compared with (11), [E'.sub.d] and [E'.sub.q] have a linear relationship with

flux linkage, whereby the angular frequencies [[omega].sub.s], [u'.sub.dr], and [u'.sub.qr] are excluded.

flux linkage area determines the permeance (inverse of reluctance) in the magnetic circuit and thereby the torque producing capability.

flux linkage, the harmonic orders exhibited by torque ripple will tend to be higher as the end of the stator lengthens.
