Bandar-e Abbas province is hit by moderate to high earthquakes with low frequency, short repeat time and 10-20Km focal depth
. The intensity of earthquakes is in middle levels in which there are ductile rocks in sedimentary covers.
It captures 100,000 points of laser light and has perfect focus images of more than 300 focal depths
. The system captures 3.5 million data points for each arch.
Equation (6) enables to calculate the maximum focal depth
[F.sub.2max] in specimen using known parameters of the phased array probe and water gap coupling height [h.sub.max].
Figure 2(a) shows that three-dimensional total electric field intensity distribution in the focal region of incident beam generates a focal depth
of FWHM (4.8 [alpha]) and that its corresponding two-dimensional intensity distribution at r = 0 is shown in Figure 2(b).
An earthquake of magnitude (Less than) 4.9 with focal depth
of 32.3 km originated from deep seated structure of basement.
Zone-1: This source represents the Western Desert system where a relatively moderate-magnitude earthquake (Mb 5.3) with focal depth
about 7 km.
"With a 64-micron focal depth
, you are able to compensate for any surface fluctuations on the slide," he noted.
The minimum magnitude is 5.0 and the maximum focal depth
is 200 km.
As illustrated in the schematic of panel A, the focal plane was offset by 5 [micro]m relative to the center of the aster (focal depth
approximately 0.3 [micro]m).
The ProLite line of microscope inspection systems includes Stereo-Zoom microscopes that provide clear, crisp images, excellent focal depth
and 3-dimensional viewing, mounted on proprietary stainless steel double glide arm with ball-bearings that make travel smooth for accurate positioning.
However, the elimination of NKC makes the Z coordinate (the focal depth
) on average 0.197 km shallower.
"Due to the small magnitude of the earthquake, it was only felt slightly, but due to its relatively large focal depth
, it was felt in a relatively large area," the department said.
