(FF, Control-L, ASCII 12) The character used to start a new page on a printer. This is done by "feeding" a new page (or "form") through the printer.

form feedAdvancing a printer form to the top of the next page. It is done by pressing the printer's form feed (FF) button or by sending the form feed code (ASCII 12) to the printer from the computer.
