1. A machine for metering granular material, such as gravel or crushed stone, from a feed hopper and distributing it over a given area.
2. A brace between two wales.
3. A stiffening member temporarily attached to the base of a doorframe, extending between the jambs, to keep the frame in proper alignment during shipping and handling.
