fuel nozzle

fuel nozzle
Duplex fuel nozzle spray pattern.
The pressure-atomizing unit that receives fuel under high pressure from the fuel manifold and delivers it to the combustor in a highly atomized, and precisely patterned spray. The fuel is sprayed from the jet nozzle in such a way that the flame is always centered in the burner and, hence, does not overheat it.

In the aerospace industry, additive manufacturing is already being used to design and produce a complex jet engine fuel nozzle as a single part, which will reduce assembly time and costs for the engine, the GAO Forum noted.
Jet or turbine engine fuel nozzle assemblies will be equipped with spouts with a minimum diameter of 2.6", thereby reducing the probability of introducing jet or turbine engine fuel nozzles into the filler openings of aircraft requiring gasoline."
