Gun

(in Russian, ruzh’e), a smoothbore hand firearm.

The gun appeared in the 14th to 15th centuries and was called variously a harquebus, couleuvrin, or, in Russian, pishchal’. After the invention of the matchlock in the 16th century, more sophisticated guns called muskets appeared and were adopted for the infantry. In the late 17th century smoothbore muzzle-loading flintlock guns became widespread in Russia and in the Western European countries. In the 19th century smoothbore firearms were replaced by guns with rifled bores. Smoothbore firearms continued to be used only as hunting guns.

What does it mean when you dream about a gun?

The gun is a symbol of aggression and protection. The dreamer may feel the need for protection from real or perceived danger. The gun can also symbolize aggressive male sexuality.

Guns

(dreams)
The gun in your dream could represent several different things, so please pay attention to the details and to the mood of the dream. The gun could symbolize the male sex organ, aggression, harshness, and fear. This dream may have sexual connotations, or your unconscious mind may be telling you not to harbor your negative feelings but toexpress them more freely before they become explosive. On the more positive side of things, the gun could simply represent your need to protect yourself either emotionally or physically or both. If the gun in the dream is used to hurt or kill you or someone else, please consider your current difficulties, hostile feelings or serious arguments, which you may have within yourself or with others.
