grid pulsing

grid pulsing

[′grid ‚pəls·iŋ]
(electronics)
Circuit arrangement of a radio-frequency oscillator in which the grid of the oscillator is biased so negatively that no oscillation takes place even when full plate voltage is applied; pulsing is accomplished by removing this negative bias through the application of a positive pulse on the grid.
