hydraulic hydrated lime

A dry, cementitious, hydrated product obtained by calcining a limestone containing silica and alumina to a temperature short of incipient fusion; there is sufficient calcium oxide to permit hydration, but sufficient unhydrated calcium silicates to give the dry powder its hydraulic properties.
