spastic diplegia

Spastic paralysis of the arms and legs caused by diffuse lesions of the cerebral cortex.
A form of cerebral palsy, possibly due to prenatal or perinatal hypoxia or other injuries resulting in atrophic lobar sclerosis, or to congenital or developmental abnormalities.
