A valve in the supply tank of an aircraft fuel system that ensures an uninterrupted supply of fuel under conditions of negative g, including inverted flight. This is a feature of most combat aircraft. This uninterrupted supply is, however, available for a limited period—usually 30 s, except in the case of specially designed aerobatic aircraft, where this period is much greater.
