line level preamp
An audio preamplifier that does not provide any compensation for phonograph or microphone input. Most preamps provide both line level and phono inputs. Extremely high-end audio preamps might eliminate a phono stage and require a separate device to equalize the LP signal (see phono preamp). See LP and preamplifier.Copyright © 1981-2019 by The Computer Language Company Inc. All Rights reserved. THIS DEFINITION IS FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY.
