linguoid ripple mark[′liŋ·gwȯid ′rip·əl ‚märk]
An aqueous current ripple mark with tonguelike projections which are formed by action of a current of water and which point into the current. Also known as cuspate ripple mark; linguloid ripple mark; linguoid current ripple.
