machine dependent

Applications that run in only one series of computers such as Intel x86 or IBM Z mainframe. Also called "hardware dependent" and "platform dependent.

Not Dependent
In contrast, "machine," "hardware" or "platform independent" means that the application can run in a variety of different families of computers. See platform dependent and device dependent.
