magnetic force parameter
magnetic force parameter[mag′ned·ik ¦fȯrs pə′ram·əd·ər]
A dimensionless number used in magnetofluid dynamics, equal to the product of the square of the magnetic permeability, the square of the magnetic field strength, the electrical conductivity, and a characteristic length, divided by the product of the mass density and the fluid velocity. Symbolized N.
