multiread feeding
[′məl·tē‚rēd ‚fēd·iŋ] (computer science)
A system of reading punched cards in which the card passes a sensing station several times and successive fields of the card are read on consecutive machine cycles, enabling several lines to be printed from a single card. Also known as multicycle feeding.
