Nissan

 

a river in southern Sweden. It measures 206 km long and drains an area of approximately 2,700 sq km. The Nissan rises in the Småland upland and flows through a number of lakes, forming rapids and waterfalls. It empties into the Kattegat. There is a hydroelectric power plant on the river, and the seaport of Halmstad is located at the mouth.
