CH3(CH2)7CO2H A colorless or yellowish oil, boiling at 254°C; soluble in ether and alcohol, insoluble in water; used as a chemical intermediate and flotation agent, in lacquers, pharmaceuticals, synthetic flavors and aromas, and plastics.

Sampling 1 produced a higher abundance of compounds than Sampling 2, and cyclotetradecane, hexanal, and nonanoic acid were only seen in Sampling 1.
