The Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty was signed in 1996 but has not yet come into effect, mostly because the US has not yet ratified it - though US President Obama wants to.
In a joint press conference along with Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) Lassina Zerbo, that was attended by Director General of the Natural Resources Authority Mousa Al Zeyoud, Momani said the Kingdom competed with a number of countries including Ukraine and Hungary to host the exercise, noting that Jordan had carried out an exercise in 2010.
