By oneway Anova test, it was found that there was significant difference in degeneration grades of all parameters (organ of corti, spiral ganglion, and stria vascularis) among the three groups (p<0.05).
The dissected segments of the organ of Corti were digested using collagenase IV for 5min (2mg/ml, Sigma, St.
Inflammatory Responses Were Suppressed by YMRE Preadministration in Organ of Corti. ROS has been associated with the inflammatory responses, and emerging evidence demonstrated that inflammation might be a central contributor in acoustic cochlear damage [6, 24-26].
A cochlear duct dissected from the modiolus, containing (A) the organ of Corti, spiral ligament/stria vascularis, and Reissner's membrane.
Exposure to noise at high levels causes certain changes in the inner ear, particularly, the organ of corti. It has been indicated that the most affected cells are the outer hair cells.
The organ of Corti was dissected in 70 percent ethanol and mounted in glycerin to allow counting of the hair cells.

Called the cochlea, the inner ear is roughly an inch in length, and it contains the magical Organ of Corti, or the true organ of hearing.
Since there was no way to distinguish between any Math1-induced hair cells and preexisting ones, Raphael's team couldn't prove that new hair cells had grown within the part of the inner ear that usually holds them, the organ of Corti. Still, there were immature hair cells within this area in the treated guinea pigs but not in the untreated animals, the scientists report in the June 1 Journal of Neuroscience.
Evidently, physical changes that occur in the body during exercise, such as chemical and temperature changes, blood pressure and increased heart rate, can affect the Organ of Corti (the hearing organ within the inner ear).
What's made the difference is the patronage of Gary Todd's Organ of Corti label, in Malibu, California, which has also brought out the work of various minimalists and maximalists like Terry Riley, Derek Bailey, and the Los Angeles Free Music Society.
The ontogeny of auditory system function has been correlated with many events, for example, the differentiation of the outer hair cells (OHCs), maturation of the synapses, development of tissue space in the organ of Corti (OC), and degradation of Kolliker's organ [13].
