Ortolan buntings seem to be turning up less frequently in the UK than they used to, perhaps due to changes in habitat and trapping in parts of southern Europe.
Strong winds on Friday brought Long-tailed Skuas to Point Lynas and Pomarine Skuas to Bardsey, where visitors have seen long-staying Melodious and Icterine Warblers, and a brief Ortolan Bunting.
The exact same area produced an ortolan bunting last Monday.
