over-the-top streaming

(1) See overlay network, over-the-top service and over-the-top messaging.

(2) A content provider that delivers its material via the Internet. For example, over-the-top (OTT) providers such as Netflix and Hulu stream movies and TV shows to an app in a set-top box over networks provided by Internet service providers (ISPs). See digital media hub and streaming.
