Pas de Trois

 

a dance form that basically repeats the structure of the pas de deux. It is most frequently performed by two female dancers and one male, as in Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake; it can also be danced by one female dancer and two males, as in Bayer’s Die Puppenfee, or three females, as in Adam’s Le Corsaire.
