A method of measuring areas of mine roadways; a drawing board is set up on a tripod in the plane of the mine section to be measured; the distance from a central point on the board to the perimeter of the roadway is measured with a tape along various offsets; the distance measured is scaled on the drawing board along the proper offset line.
