precision runway monitor (PRM)
Provides air traffic controllers with high-precision secondary surveillance data for aircraft on final approach to parallel runways that have extended centerlines separated by less than 4300 ft. The final monitor aid (FMA) is a high-resolution color display equipped with the controller alert system hardware or software that is used in the precision runway monitor (PRM) system. These displays are required to present surveillance track data to controllers along with detailed maps depicting approaches and no-transgression zones.
