The cyclone leading to precipitation and flooding in the United Kingdom on 1 February 2002 is a secondary cyclone (labeled "2") forming on the trailing cold front of a preexisting primary cyclone
A gravity circuit consisting of centrifugal concentrators will treat a portion of the primary cyclone
underflow to recover coarse metallic gold.
A flash flotation cell will treat a 50% bleed from the primary cyclone
underflow which, it is anticipated, will recover more than 40% of both the copper and gold to an intermediate concentrate.
These were the primary cyclone
feed pumps and the filter feed pumps.
