qWave(Quality Windows Audio Video Experience) A programming interface (API) from Microsoft that gives priority to audio and video streams transmitting over a wireless network. Using probes to monitor the network and the RSVP protocol to reserve bandwidth, applications must employ qWave in order to achieve the intended quality of service (QoS). See RSVP.
