radio-signal reporting code
[′rād·ē·ō ‚sig·nəl ri′pȯrd·iŋ ‚kōd] (communications)
A code for reporting the quality of radiotelephone or radiotelegraph transmission, consisting of a code word followed by a group of numbers rating various characteristics. Also known as signal reporting code.
