regioselective

regioselective

[¦rē·jē·ō·si′lek·tiv]
(organic chemistry)
Pertaining to a chemical reaction which favors a single positional or structural isomer, leading to its yield being greater than that of the other products in the reaction. Also known as regiospecific.
