remote communications air/ground facility (RCAGF)
An unmanned very/ultra high frequency (VHF/UHF) transmitter/receiver facility used to expand ARTCC (air route control center) air-to-ground communications coverage and to facilitate direct contact between pilots and controllers. RCAG facilities are sometimes not equipped with the emergency frequencies 121.5 MHz or 243.0 MHz.
