(computer science)
An electronic display mode in which the normal properties of the display are reversed; for example, normally white characters on a black background will appear as black characters on a white background. Also known as inverse video.

reverse video

A display mode used to highlight characters on screen. For example, if the normal display mode is black on white, reverse video would be white on black.
