Understandably, mineral dealers are reluctant to bring geological samples instead of salable mineral specimens back by air and through customs, so the matrix of only a few specimens could be examined for this report; this matrix is gneissic riebeckite granite.
Most quartz crystals have inclusions of black acicular riebeckite, or of golden astrophyllite, and some have free-standing, finger-thick rutile crystals on and below the quartz crystal faces.

Riebeckite is a constituent of the granite gneiss bedrock.

Standards used were almandine (Mg and Fe), apatite (Ca and P), tephroite (Mn), titanite (Ti) and fluorian riebeckite (F).
The granite is generally grey to grayish white, essentially composed of perthitic feldspar, quartz and small amount of plagioclase and sodic minerals such as riebeckite and aegirine.
