Therefore, there exist a separation point (SP) between [n.sub.p]th vehicle and ([n.sub.p] + 1)th vehicle, as shown in Figure 4.
3), the transition from one case to other proceeds together with the displacement of the separation point. Thus, the case of the inclined plate is virtually a general model concerning plate arbitrary oriented in unlimited space (Fig.
As shown in Figure 12(c), the point d', which corresponded to the separation point in the tandem configuration, was closer to the exit of SJ2 than the point d in the single injection case.
Separation occurs at the insert forming a widening free shear layer which reattaches at 6-8 insert height downstream from separation point.
The angle [phi] starting at the windward stagnation can be used to represent the position of the boundary layer separation point (Figure 1).
Ideally, the separation point should be lodged on the downstream corner of the mid-lip, (1) as shown in Fig.
Replacing the right-angle connection between the shaft bottom and the tunnel ceiling with the bevel-angle connection was proposed then to split one separation point into two separation points, to attenuate the negative effect on natural smoke exhausting by vertical shafts.

When the angle of attack is increased (deceleration of the flow), the separation point moves to the leading edge of a blade, and during decrease in angle of attack (flow acceleration), it moves to the trailing edge, and correspondingly the coefficient of grid profile drag [C.sub.x] periodically changes.
