sequential color television[si′kwen·chəl ¦kəl·ər ′tel·ə‚vizh·ən]
A color television system in which the primary color components of a picture are transmitted one after the other; the three basic types are the line-sequential, dot-sequential, and field-sequential color television systems. Also known as sequential system.
