tsutsugamushi disease[‚tsü·sə·gə′mü·shē di‚zēz]
A rickettsial disease of humans caused by Rickettsia tsutsugamushi, transmitted by larval mites, and characterized by headache, high fever, and a rash. Also known as scrub typhus.
