An air-conditioning system in which one duct conveys air, at a given condition, for a number of different spaces.

The dual-duct, variable-volume system has the same limitations as the single-duct system, but not to as great a degree.
As an example of a central air-conditioning system, a schematic of a single-duct system is shown in Figure 2.
The air-conditioning system is a single-duct system. An AHU is located in the machine room (MR), and air conditions in all rooms except the MR are controlled by a single AHU.
Single-duct systems permit both mixed MQL and wet machining operations and can be integrated into turning machines with tool turrets.
