snap roll

An abrupt maneuver in which an aircraft does a very fast roll along its longitudinal axis while maintaining level flight. Unlike in the slow roll, normally only ailerons are used for execution of snap rolls. A snap roll differs from a flick roll in that the latter is at a slow speed and in the former only ailerons are used for the maneuver.
