source route

source route

(messaging)
An electronic mail address which specifies the route the message should take as a sequence of hostnames. It is called a source route because the route is determined at the source of the message rather than at each stage as is now more common. The most common kind of source route is a UUCP style bang path, "foo!bar!baz!fred'. The RFC 822 syntax, "@foo:@bar:fred@baz", is seldom seen because most systems which understand RFC 822 also perform automatic routing based on the destination hostname. A third, intermediate, form is sometimes seen: "fred%baz%bar@foo.com".

In this research work, we choose four routing protocols, ad hoc ondemand distance vector (AODV) [7], dynamic source route (DSR) [8], fish-eye state routing (FSR) [9], and optimized link state routing (OLSR) [10].
This routing needs source route maintenance, while the use of route, it is needed to monitor the process of the route and notify the sender of any mistake [9].
for compressing source route information after the source route is discovered using DSR [9][10]) gives ODAR the storage, processing and communication efficiencies that make it suitable in the ad hoc network environments.
There is, of course, nothing wrong with using open software over commercial applications, but most experts agree that at least some of the cost savings accrued from going down the open source route should be re-invested in other aspects of computing security, not least in ensuring those applications are secure enough for general usage.
We're witnessing many institutions abandoning proprietary LMSs and going the multiapplication open source route. Agility, perceived economics, politics, and IT leadership are all factors in this movement, as is the ever-present notion of academic choice gone digital.
Every data packet carries the source route in its packet header.
The government's pet project, that seeks to give a way into the wealth of government data, was formally unveiled on 21 January by its advisor Sir Tim Berners-Lee, and features all the principles the inventor of the world wide web stands for--free online information, public sector transparency, open source route to publish official data, potential to mash up and re-use content and the latest 2.0 collaborative tools.
