For the Age 3 (50 to 65) group, the Alpha waves were decreased and the Theta waves
were increased; however they were not significant, but the Delta waves were increased and reached a significant level.
At this age, we see the theta waves
of second-line consciousness replaced by faster alpha waves.
We used Indian classical music as the stimulus to evoke EEG changes across the frontal region, with a focus on theta waves
. Most studies have reported that during music listening, the alpha and theta power of the left anterior hemisphere increases; in particular, there are significant theta power changes in the left anterior region, representing activity in Brodman areas 44, 45, 46, 47, and 38.
The administration of lavender odor leads to diffuse and focal slowing in the range of theta waves
. In the left temporal region, high amplitude alpha waves replaced beta rhythm in one participant, this is consistent with studies done in the past.
Interfering with theta waves
during other stages of sleep didn't seem to cause memory trouble, suggesting that something special happens during REM sleep.
A "phase reset" (also called alpha theta synchrony) occurs when alpha and theta waves
are trained together to increase at the same time (Chapin & Russell-Chapin, 2014).
On the other hand, absolute beta and theta waves
significantly decreased during the uninasal inhalation of AEO compared to before inhalation (Figure 1; Tables 4 and 5).
In pre-paradoxical sleep, theta waves
occur in the hippocampus but signs of [S.sub.I] or [S.sub.II] in cortical areas are present.
The most consistent observation in Electro Encephalography, a graph of a person's brainwaves, in individuals with autism is a pattern of slow waves, called theta waves
in the central, frontal and prefrontal areas.
The mentioned studies are based on findings of the electroencephalogram (EEG) in children with ADHD, which have identified a higher proportion of waves Theta / Beta, a high level of Theta waves
and low level of Betha waves (Loo & Barkley, 2005; Othemer & Kaiser, 2000; Butnik, 2005), This is apparently related to the behavior of motor restlessness and lack of concentration.
In Table 1, there are delta waves (frequency 0.5-4 Hz), theta waves
(frequency 4-7 Hz), alpha waves (frequency 8-13 Hz), beta waves (frequency 14-30 Hz), and gamma waves (frequency 30 Hz and over) .
The brain produces slower waves patterns (theta waves
) during flotation therapy, which are normally only experienced during deep meditation or just before falling asleep.
